Hello hello!  My it's been some time since I've posted.  And for good reason, PARTY PARTY PARTY! : )  So if you follow us on Facebook you know that for the last three weeks I've been immersed in planning decor details for a huge party.  There were 4500 tickets given out and they anticipated 3500.  It was certainly the largest party I've had the pleasure of being a part of.  The party was this past Saturday and it was great! Yippie!!!!

Well, with that corporate party, parties coming up and conversations about more parties it got me thinking.  When I started Inspiring Giggles last year I really wanted to focus on children's birthday parties but I'm thrilled to share that we will now be expanding our services.  : ) Inspiring Giggles will remain our children's birthday party planning company and SHAH HOUSE will be our Event Styling and Planning company.  Thank you to all of you who have been so incredibly supportive!  I truly appreciate it!

Easter Carrot Candy Holders

I LOVE these Carrot Candy holder DIY from OhHappyDay.com.  Jordan has the DIY tutorial here but all you need to put these together is orange paper, green paper, tape, scissors and the treats.

I think this is an Easter craft we'll do with the kids tonight!  They'll make great gifts for Sunday!

Enjoy!

The EASIEST craft and my daughter loves it!

So my little girl (Ella) and I have our "craft time".  We string beads on ribbon, or paint, or do the foam sticker art, etc.  The other day she was playing with Dora dance stickers and so I said lets "let's go make her dance"... I asked Ella to pick out her favorite and put it on card stock.  There's more than one of each design so we put the another of the same on card stock.  I cut them out and hot glued both onto a popsicle stick back to back.  Here's what it looks like...

Then I put the stick between my hands and rubbed back and forth (as though I was warming up my hands on a cold day) and it looked like she was spinning.  It was the easiest thing we've done and she love'd it.

I am currently working on a "Surf" themed party and when I came across this watermelon, I loved it!  So did my client.  : )  I found the tutorial on Creative Party Ideas by Cheryl.

Use what you've got...

When I saw the "Showered with Love" baby shower in Scrapbooks etc. I thought all the details were absolutely adorable, but I LOVE how Lisa Storms used a heart shaped punch to make rain!

Why bother cutting out drops by hand when you have a perfectly good punch willing to help!  I love these kinds of ideas!  Gotta use what we've got for tons of different things!  I have used my heart shaped punch to make flowers but this hadn't occurred to me.  How did I miss that? Very clever!
